It all began when I arrived home from a trip to Italy and Sicily in November 2007. When I was in Rome, I visited the Church of the Holy Stairs. The church contains the actual stairs that Jesus walked up leading to Pontius Pilate's judgement hall on Good Friday. They are twenty-eight white marble stairs, now encased in wood and said to have the Lord's blood on them. I climbed them on my knees to the top and made my petitions. One of them was to find a good wife. I clearly remembered having this really good and profound feeling as I ascended the stairs while making this intention.
