Since 1997, the primary mission of CatholicWeb remains to provide churches, schools, diocese, and ministries in need, with free Web services that help compliment existing communication efforts and evangelization of the Catholic faith. These free services are made possible through contributions and our business advertising programs. As of 2010, CatholicWeb hosts over 5,000 Catholic Web sites free of charge. We work hard to provide the very best Web services attainable, to even the smallest of churches, and using the latest in cutting edge technologies.

CatholicWeb also provides free search tools via TheCatholicDirectory.com for visitors looking up information about diocese, schools, ministries, and churches. Visitors can find Mass times, weekly bulletins, web sites, email addresses, maps, directions, staff, and other important information. The Catholic Directory receives on average over 50,000 visitors daily exceeding 18 million visitors per year!

CatholicWeb is maintained by CompBiz, Inc., a private Web application software development company. The owner and founder started CatholicWeb by volunteering Web development and hosting for his family's parish and children's school. This eventually lead to the idea of him creating CatholicWeb for all churches and ministries in need of Web services.
